Over the years many people captured our events and were kind enough to supply us with footage on DVDS.
We worked with a few TV companies-one was international.
1001 Productions Inc. a Canadian company filmed us on June 26th 2008 at Darbucka as part of a documentary of our dancer Viraj . Whilst I have the footage I have not as yet permission to use it.....

Sonal filmed us quite a few times.
All this provided a steep learning curve for me with film release and formal procedures. There is also the educational and awareness raising aspect with our audience. Announcements are made about film permissions and consents as there are copyright issues. We announce this on a regular basis.
Also we are careful to ensure that those who do not wish to be filmed are respected. In a live environment managing this is not without its challenges.
But it was not until we met Nashwan that we raised our game and developed our brand further.
A special role was created for him and we were led and directed by his expertise. He placed our clips on his you tube channel and made a special showreel. Eventually it inspired me to have our own you tube channel

Nashwan
With his own you tube channel he enhanced our profile and following considerably.
His musicality and Arabic heritage contributed greatly to the flavour of our show reels and he captured some fantastic footage and focused on the engagement of the performer with the audience and vice versa.

Yohan
Yohan worked with us for a number of years. Initially he was our lighting expert and would bring all the equipment down to light up Darbucka as it was very dark there
Then he announced that he had won a prize for his filmmaking and we commissioned him for a number of our shows

Bachir
Responsible for Being our DJ but somehow managing to at the same time- film some of our events. His footage of our Final Goodbye to Darbucka January 2012 is awesome and was a real surprise!
