Our web site was initiated and conceived by Joan. A year ago Marlene Wittwer and Kate Olding took responsibility for it and developed it considerably.

Marlene has sadly returned back to Switzerland, and we wish her well and hope that she can even in a small way still be associated with us!

Kate Olding, a goth fairy princess in search of adventure, moved down to Brighton over a year ago looking for a change in lifestyle. She wants to get out from behind a desk and ideally find work that engages her heart and soul as well as her mind. She believes in living life with passion and enthusiasm, and is frequently described as a party animal! She finds belly dancing a joyful and inspiring dance and feels honoured to have been able to help with updating and maintaining the Planet Egypt website. She loves travelling and was living in Buenos Aires briefly before relocating to Brighton. She also enjoys scuba diving and worked as a divemaster for two months in Thailand in 2003. She is interested in spirituality and recently completed her Reiki Part I. She is a keen DIY enthusiast and hence spends much of her free time up a ladder with a drill in one hand and a DIY manual in the other! She finds doing up her flat very rewarding and is currently fitting the kitchen.
