Have you ever come back from an exhausting workshop with a page full of choreography notes, saying things such as, 'step back, twirl quick, lift and drop', and wondered what on earth they meant? This DVD is for you.
Serena Ramzy dances three intricate choreographies and the notes, rhythms and description of the steps are there at the press of a button.
I often wondered what DVDs were for, and now I can see the potential. I miss having the voiceover that teaching videos have, and suggest in the series there could be make-up and costuming tips from Serena, as she looks so glamorous.
With the touch of a button, I went back and forth between the text and the dance and found it very useful for the more advanced student dancer who has moved beyond the 'how-to-do-it' stage and the predictable 'four steps to the right and four to the left'.
Congratulations, Hossam and Serena.
