Guest Speakers: Candi Colgrave-Bell


Candi Colgrave-Bell

Candi Colgrave-Bell has studied Egyptian dance for nearly 20 years and has been performing and teaching professionally for 10 years mainly in the North of England. She studied music and dance-drama at college and has worked in performing arts for many years. She has taught workshops for large events such as the Jewel of Yorkshire, Wortley Hall Dance Holidays and for organisations such as NADA and Sopen (South Penines Arabic Dance Society). Candi regularly gives talks on various aspects of Egyptian dance to groups and societies and is passionate about giving her students information and background to the dance to set it in context. She has been resident dancer in eight restaurants across Yorkshire, Lancashire and Lincolnshire.

A regular visitor to Cairo to keep up with her training, keep in touch with the latest trends and soak up the atmoshere, she also attends masterclasses when she can. She is a qualified community dance tutor and teaches many short  fun community dance courses as well as weekly classes.
