Just Because... is a charity in formation aiming to raise funds and
promote awareness, prevention and early detection of breast cancer for
women in Egypt. High profile support for this cause from leading
exponents of the dance community and there are many regular events supporting this
cause

July Rango: "Bride of the Zar" UK Tour July 2010 (see cd info)
All over UK July 2010. Book tickets quickly as last time they sold out. Note that they will feature devotional songs (Zaar and perhaps Mawlid). This is a cultural explosion not to be missed. London loves them and went crazy.

September 11th Medea Mahdavi Introduction To Persian Dance Workshop 11am to 4pm, Preston School Main Hall, Monks Dale, Yeovil. £40 for the whole day. Small bazaar. First workshop will be on a Persian Caspian folk dance and the second workshop will focus on classical Persian dance with some freestyle and some choreographed steps. Medea Mahdavi is a very experienced teacher and performer with a wealth of knowledge in the many styles of Persian dance. Please bring a packed lunch and something to drink.
